Digital Café
Thanks to the support of our project partners, the innovative ‘Digital Café’ project run by Pro Senectute in both Basel cantons is continuing. Free, practical help for anyone who wants to learn how to make better use of the digital world. This enables greater independence and facilitates social participation.
Every week, at six locations, older people receive support in using their mobile phones and iPads. They learn how to install apps, find directions, understand chat etiquette and can ask specific questions.
The ‘Digital Café’ project is offered at three locations in Basel, as well as in Arlesheim, Laufen and Pratteln. There, knowledgeable young men and women, working on behalf of Pro Senectute of both Basel cantons, answer questions from older people. Participation is free of charge and no registration is required.
