Pro Senectute of both Basel cantons reports on the use of donations and is committed to managing the funds received with the utmost care. Private individuals, companies and public bodies are regularly informed about the foundation’s activities and needs.
Control and Audit
The Foundation Board is the highest governing body. A six-member Executive Board is responsible for day-to-day management. The charitable foundation is subject to supervision by the Basel Foundation Supervisory Authority. The Foundation undergoes a regular statutory audit. The Foundation’s internal control system (ICS) is also part of the annual audit.
