On Sunday 9 August 2026, the ‘MS Flâneur Christoph Merian’ was transformed into a floating dance floor. Dance enthusiasts aged 60 and over enjoyed a lively evening on the Rhine with hits from the 1980s and 1990s. DJ Herbert created a great atmosphere and kept the dance floor packed with pop, rock, disco and popular party classics. The focus was on music, movement and socialising – and, of course, the joy of dancing, laughing and having a good time together. The event was organised by Pro Senectute in both Basel cantons in collaboration with Basler Personenschifffahrt.
